Well, after serious consideration and discussion with my family, I want you to be the first to hear that, today, I am announcing my candidacy to run for Congress in Virginia's 10th District.

CAMPAIGN PRESS RELEASE - October 5, 2023

“I ’m running for Congress to fight back against the radical left’s failed policies and to restore America,” said Clancy.

“America is on the wrong track. Families are struggling under the failed leadership of the Biden Administration and the radical progressive left as the heavy weight of record inflation crushes their paychecks.

We have lost control of our southern border and immigration, which has led to horrific human trafficking and deadly fentanyl flooding every community in our country.

Our educational system is failing our children.  We must educate our children with the knowledge and skills to compete in our global economy and empower parents to make the best education decisions for their children.

It is time for Virginians to join together and fight for our country. Let’s get our country back on the right path and restore America.”

Mike is son of an Air Force Sergeant and school teacher. His parents instilled in him the values of family, faith, hard work, patriotism, and self-determination, and those principles have guided him his whole life.

Clancy received his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, Master Degree in healthcare policy and medical ethics from the University of Pennsylvania Medical School, and J.D. from The George Washington University Law School; and he has completed Harvard Executive Education programs in Cybersecurity Policy and Artificial Intelligence.

Clancy began his legal career as an attorney with the Navy’s Office of General Counsel. Today, he is a senior business executive and lawyer for a global information technology company and had the privilege of serving on Governor-Elect Glenn Youngkin’s technology and cybersecurity transition team.  

Clancy is a noted commentator on political, legal, and constitutional law issues.  He is a Daily Caller Contributor and a NEWSMAX Insider.  He frequently appears as a legal analyst on political news programs and his articles regularly appear in The Daily Caller, NEWSMAX, Fox, The Federalist, and the Washington Examiner.

Clancy filed to run for Virginia’s 10^th Congressional District, which includes all of Rappahannock County, Fauquier County and Loudoun County, parts of Fairfax County and Prince William County, as well as the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park.
